Day 345: Family breakfast and roofing

Since Jamin's sister Jennie was still in town from the family reunion, we had her and their folks over for breakfast this morning. Zaria was enjoying having Grandpa David help her with her new pink shoes.
Meanwhile, the pounding began today. Somehow, we all managed to take a morning nap through some of the pounding, though Jamin said it sounded exactly like the pounding that happens on his semi door to wake him up after a load is finished. I guess we were pretty beat from getting back late last night from our drive back from Bemidgi.

Day 294: Gift opening b'fast

We enjoyed joining Kristie and Josh and some other friends and family for breakfast and gift opening. Since they were away from their home in California, they requested gifts in the form of gift certificates and cash, so it was mostly cards to open. Jamin had heard that it was just going to be rolls for breakfast and took the initiative to bring a bunch of eggs to cook and share, so we had a very nice breakfast and a great time of visiting on a smaller scale.

Day 168: Breakfast devo

I still haven't gotten down a good time to read the Bible every day. I was able to wake up before Zaria for a while and read in the early morning, and sometimes I'll try during a nap time or while she's interested in some books so we can "read together" but I haven't been consistent. I tried during breakfast today, which halfway worked. Zaria enjoyed the cottage cheese while I read about David wanting God to smote his enemies.

Day 145: Waffles

I enjoyed a lovely waffle breakfast with Dave and Mom today at their church, Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free. I've been at several of these, but this was the first one where we also fed Zaria waffles, as Mom is no doubt doing as she leans in this picture. I wanted to be sure to get Dave in the shot since he recently got Lasix surgery and now can run around without glasses! It is extremely strange to see him without glasses since he's worn them since elementary school and was nearly blind without them before. Jamin came a little later after dropping off our friends Corrie & John at the airport. It was lucky they called to remind us, because we had nearly forgotten we had two things going on this morning.
