Day 145: Waffles

I enjoyed a lovely waffle breakfast with Dave and Mom today at their church, Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free. I've been at several of these, but this was the first one where we also fed Zaria waffles, as Mom is no doubt doing as she leans in this picture. I wanted to be sure to get Dave in the shot since he recently got Lasix surgery and now can run around without glasses! It is extremely strange to see him without glasses since he's worn them since elementary school and was nearly blind without them before. Jamin came a little later after dropping off our friends Corrie & John at the airport. It was lucky they called to remind us, because we had nearly forgotten we had two things going on this morning.

Day 98: Gametime up north

We joined Cassie, Derek and Dave up at Cassie's timeshare condo for a fun late weekend of games, hot tubbing, and relaxing. I learned this new game they're playing in the photo, Tripoley, which is pretty fun. It's like a mix of poker and Michigan Rummy. Zaria did pretty well, but she didn't like to be ignored for real long.

Day 80: Dave's birthday

I won't say how old he is, but it was my stepdad Dave's birthday today. I went to his and my mom's church for their Thanksgiving Eve service, BPEFC. I went there through junior high and high school, so there are still many familiar faces there. It was a little far from our house, so I've found closer places since then. I took Mom and Dave bowling after the service, but it was sort of late so we only played one game so I could get Zaria to bed.
