Day 302: Grandmas visiting

Zaria and I had a visit from both Grandma Marla (pictured above), and Grandma Joy, my mother-in-law and mom today. The shot above was taken on the way upstairs to nap time. For both nap and bedtime she got to hear stories read by her grandmas today, which she enjoyed very much.

Day 273: Fun at Grandma's house

Playing croquette. It was a little hard to keep her out of the way and chase her down when she ran towards the pond, but Zaria had fun joining us.
Then she helped Grandma Joy water her plants . . . or feet, rather.

Day 157: I'm ready, Grandma

I decided steps are kinda nice with toddlers. Yes, it's a pain carrying ZJ up and down the steps every day, but she does it herself sometimes and gets some great exercise, and my mom discovered that it's a great place to set her while getting ready to go out.

Day 100: Baby games with Grandma Glenna

Zaria had so much fun with Cassie's Grandma Glenna, who came to the condo late last night to join us. She came right before dinner, and the boys all left after dinner, so it was just the girls today. I taught Grandma and Cassie to play Mexican Train Dominoes while Zaria tried to sleep--she had some bad teething pain today, so didn't nap real well. There sure were a lot of baby things to haul into the car before we left in the evening, but we did have a lot of fun.

Day 40: Pie Day

Last time Zaria, my mom and I went to pie day at my grandparents' place, we didn't actually stay for the pie because Zaria and I were still dealing with colds. So today we had a good time staying for the whole show! I was able to get Zaria down for a long nap in the morning, and she stayed in a good mood the whole afternoon for the pie and singing. She was singing in her own way, which usually meant she would sing the loudest when the songs were over. It was really funny. The folks there absolutely love having a baby there, especially my grandma.

Day 29: Home from Grandma's

My mom loves being a grandma and takes Zaria home with her any chance she can get. Lately, she's been taking her for a few hours in the evening so that I can get some studying/work done. I'm still not sure if it's a good idea to depend on this, but it will definitely free up some more secure time to be able to work at home if it can continue. So this is a familiar scene right now, Mom coming in the front door with a sleepy Zaria in her arms. Zaria will usually get to sleep in the car on the way home and be pajamaed and bleary-eyed when she comes in the door. She loves having time with Grandma and is often quite tired after playing with Grandma and Grandpa in the evening.
