We have one of those such ponds out behind our house. It's actually between the neighbor's houses and the fire station. In the winter when it freezes over (if there's enough rain & it's cold enough of course) the neighbor kids like to skate on there!
We actually don't have a pond in our run-off area of the yard, but this, uh, puddle grew pretty big. I caught it after it went down a ways.
